Adelaide Psychological Services would like to welcome Amanda Haselgrove to the team.
Amanda is keen to see adults with varying presenting concerns, and tailor assessment/treatment approaches to client needs using best evidence-based practice. She has experience in treating depression, anxiety (generalised or social), post-traumatic stress disorder, panic, eating binges, obsessive/perfectionistic compulsions, anger, stress, grief and loss, cancer related concerns, and suicidal thinking.
Amanda also has research experience in post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and moral injury in military personnel, in addition to her own previous employment experience as a soldier and police officer, so she can understand some of the specific challenges faced by those working in these roles.
Amanda primarily uses a cognitive behavior therapy approach, but she also incorporates elements of acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. Amanda intends to expand her use of therapy modalities over time.
