Our trained practitioners are dedicated to providing comprehensive assessments to help you understand your needs and guide you on the path to better mental health.
A psychological assessment gives you more than just a diagnosis. It guides you through the therapy journey. This may include strategies on how to better cope at work or school, ways to relate to family, friends and peers.
You may have been thinking for some time about getting an Autism assessment for you or your child. At APS we understand the journey that leads to you making this step, and we are here to guide you. It starts with a call to our dedicated and compassionate admin team, who will talk you through the process.
We have a team of trained clinicians who assess for ASD and aim to keep our waiting times to a minimum.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental health condition that includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behaviour. ADHD can lead to unstable relationships, poor work or school performance, low self-esteem, and many other challenges.
We offer psychological assessments for kids and teens, and psychological and psychiatric assessments for adults. Our team will happily guide you as to which type of assessment is best for you and talk you through the options.
Our educational assessment identifies your child’s strengths and challenges by evaluating their cognitive functioning, intellectual capacity, and their written and language abilities. This provides parents and teachers an insight into a child’s learning difficulties. Our comprehensive assessment and report provides strategies and recommendations on how best to support your child.
We also offer Cognitive, Giftedness and Intellectual Disabilities assessments.
Our Clinical Review is designed for those who don’t know where to start.
We start by providing you with a number of clinical screeners, then you sit down with one of our assessors to discuss these results and make a plan together as to which is the best treatment plan for you.
If you don’t know where to start, start with a Clinical Review!
We offer combined ASD and ADHD assessments through dual evaluations by our team of practitioners. Using structured interviews and observations, we provide detailed reports, and recommendations, with potential NDIS funding for eligible services. Our comprehensive reports and treatment plans offer strategies to manage daily challenges for individuals of all ages and provides recommendations for support at school, university, or the workplace.
A Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive assessment of a person’s capability across a range of daily activities and environments.
This assessment ensures participants receive appropriate NDIS funding and support to achieve their goals. This includes a face-to-face assessment, communication with involved parties (where there is consent and a requirement), and a report that is provided to the participant and the NDIA. This assessment helps determine the necessary funding and support levels under an NDIS plan.
