Psychologist

Chindhu is a registered psychologist who combines warmth with practicality. Passionate about working with both couples and individuals, she is recognized for her empathy, approachability, and excellent listening skills. Trained in India with a specialization in psycho-oncology and health, Chindhu moved to Australia to pursue her PhD in Psychology (Research).

Her experience includes working with diverse populations such as adolescents, adults, burn victims, abuse survivors, individuals and families affected by personality disorders, couples navigating separation, and patients with terminal illnesses and their caregivers. She has addressed various issues like addiction, trauma, eating disorders, psychological distress, and grief, and has worked with clients on the NDIS program.

Chindhu tailors her treatment to each client’s unique needs, with sensitivity to cultural differences, and a strong drive to help her clients succeed. Her goal-setting approach is specific, manageable, and positively oriented.

Currently, Chindhu is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Sydney, focusing on the implementation of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in cancer care.
