Emma is a highly skilled mental health professional, working with people from 12+ to adults. She has experience helping her clients with a range of presentations including trauma, personality diagnoses, addiction, mood and emotional dysregulation, psychosis, situational distress, interpersonal and attachment difficulties.

Emma works from an evidence-based framework, predominantly within Cognitive Behavioural and Dialectical Behavioural Therapies (CBT & DBT). She also uses Motivational Interviewing to help people change unhelpful patterns from their past which may be creating difficulties in their lives. In addition to providing 1:1 and relationship counseling, Emma completes vocational, cognitive and psychometric assessments and reports for her clients.

Using the basis of a person-centred perspective, Emma believes strongly in the need to provide compassion and empathy within the therapeutic alliance with her clients. When helping her clients address their challenges and work towards their personal goals she is guided by their individual needs and priorities.

Emma has experience working in private counseling, government sector, community services, not for profit organisations and in advocacy roles. Emma is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.

She genuinely loves her work as a psychologist and values the opportunity to be able to help people in a non-judgemental and empathetic way to identify and achieve their desired outcomes. Emma accepts referrals through Medicare, NDIS and privately.
