Michelle uses a compassionate and collaborative approach to treat a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, sleep disorders, trauma-related disorders, and addictive disorders. She is skilled at supporting people through life’s challenges such grief and loss, relationship and marital problems, parenting challenges and living with the impact of chronic health conditions. With expertise in child development and trauma, Michelle brings a strong attachment focus to therapy. She is committed to helping people better understand themselves and how they relate to others to build meaningful lives.
Michelle is trained in using a range of interventions and integrates mindfulness into her therapeutic approach. These include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), trauma-focussed CBT, sand tray therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure and response prevention (ERP), interpersonal psychotherapy, emotion-focussed and systemic couples therapy, the Gottman method, and group therapy.
Her comprehensive skill set includes conducting a variety of psychological assessments, such as cognitive assessment, personality assessment, vocational assessment, functional capacity assessment and diagnostic assessment for psychological disorders.
