Simone is a registered Psychologist with a Masters in Work and Organisational Psychology who works with adults and older adolescents in person or via Telehealth. Simone has worked in a variety of areas (not-for-profit organisations, private sector and government),
She has experience and interest in working with clients in the following areas: adjustment disorders, situational issues, anxiety, worry, panic, stress management, depression, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), work-related bullying, WorkCover, Comcare, MVA, victims of crime, chronic pain, injury management, chronic illness and health-related concerns, sleep issues, parenting concerns, individual relationship issues, interpersonal issues, grief and loss, older person’s issues, assertiveness, self-esteem, NDIS clients, vocational counseling/vocational assessment, career transition and redundancy issues.

Simone has a client-centred, holistic approach, and uses various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoeducation.

Simone’s experience has included clients requiring vocational/rehabilitation psychology and injury management; Australian Defence Force (ADF) selection/recruitment assessment and career transition counseling, trauma screening/counseling; Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) rehabilitation and return to work clients, workplace ‘ongoing support assessments’ (disability sector); case management for return-to-work services clients such as WorkCover, Comcare, long-term unemployed (Job Network); older adolescents, school leavers; parents; mature age.

Specialty areas have included career transition coaching (including resume and job search preparation), vocational assessments, health coaching, psychosocial counseling, development/monitoring of rehabilitation plans for clients facing multiple barriers to employment and/or training.

Simone completes Vocational Assessments for older adolescents or adults (general population or WorkCover/return to work) who are seeking to identify meaningful, realistic and available employment goals and options.
